KCAL Students Impress at SkillsUSA State Conference, Three Advance to Nationals

The SkillsUSA Texas logo features the words "SkillsUSA" in blue serif font, with a red and white striped graphic above it. Below "SkillsUSA" are the letters "TEXAS" in blue, also in a serif font.

The Keller Center for Advanced Learning sent 80 students to the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference, held April 8-11 in Corpus Christi, where three students earned spots at the national conference.

Throughout the year, SkillsUSA students develop and demonstrate their abilities through more than 100 skilled and leadership competitions at the local, regional, and state levels. Contests are designed and judged by industry professionals, allowing students to showcase career-ready skills in real-world scenarios.

In the Information Technology division, Bhavesh KC and Anya Saravanan placed first in Web Design and Development, advancing to the highly competitive national conference. Caden Noblitt will join them after earning gold in Building Maintenance in the Construction division. The SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference is scheduled for June 1-5 in Atlanta.
